Briefly about the centre
The Lviv Regional Phthisiopulmonology Clinical Treatment and Diagnostic Centre (Lung’s health center), a municipal nonprofit enterprise of the Lviv Regional Council, is a multidisciplinary, leading healthcare facility that provides highly qualified inpatient and outpatient medical care to patients with tuberculosis and non-specific respiratory diseases and is a base for specialization and advanced training of physiologists.
The complex was built in 1977. The Department of Phthisiology and Pulmonology of Danylo Halytskyi Lviv National University has been located here since its foundation.
In addition, since December 2014, the Lung’s health center has been operating a Training Centre for HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and other socially dangerous diseases.

- Providing highly qualified specialized, medical, and consultative care to patients with tuberculosis and nonspecific bronchopulmonary diseases (hereinafter referred to as NPD), sarcoidosis, treatment of surgical lung pathology, and open and closed chest injuries.
- Control over the organization and quality of implementation of measures to prevent, and detect tuberculosis and newly diagnosed diseases.
- Optimization of the treatment and diagnostic process by introducing the latest techniques and technologies into practice.
- Diverse organisational and methodological work aimed at providing monitoring of the epidemiological situation with tuberculosis and NCDs in the region, timely reporting, and implementation of regulatory documents.

In recent years we have also significantly expanded the range of medical services provided to our patients, in particular, by adding a therapeutic department and a reconstructive orthopaedics and reconstructive surgery department.
At the same time, Lung’s health center has a department for the treatment of HIV-positive/AIDS patients.
