The theme of the event: Establishment of microbiological laboratories for the diagnosis of tuberculosis and ensuring biological safety in their work

Тренінг проводиться в рамках реалізації проєкту USAID «REACH 95: Доступність якісних послуг з ВІЛ в закладах охорони здоров’я України», що впроваджується міжнародною організацією PATH.

Target audience: 

Керівники та працівники бактеріологічних лабораторій з дослідження туберкульозу (бактеріологи та фахівці з клінічної лабораторної діагностики).
Номенклатура лікарських спеціальностей:
- Bacteriology;
— Клінічна лабораторна діагностика;
- Microbiology and virology.

Purpose of the event: 

– обговорення з керівниками та працівниками бактеріологічних лабораторій вимог нового нормативно правового акту «Про затвердження Державних санітарних норм і правил «Влаштування мікробіологічних лабораторій з діагностики туберкульозу та забезпечення біологічної безпеки в їхній роботі» в рамках Проекту «Підтримка зусиль у протидії
туберкульозу в Україні».
– ознайомлення з міжнародними та національними підходами щодо впровадження заходів з біобезпеки в лабораторіях;
– навчання плануванню, послідовному впровадженню та моніторингу заходів з інфекційного контролю в ЗОЗ в умовах обмежених ресурсів;
– розгляд практичних прикладів з організації заходів з біобезпеки в лабораторіях.

List of competences to be acquired or improved (learning outcomes):

– навички з роботи в лабораторії з мікробіологічної діагностики ТБ та біобезпеки;
- Conducting an infection risk assessment in the TB microbiology laboratory;
– належне використання можливостей УФБ випромінювання та вентиляції;
- rational use of personal protective equipment;
- Implementation of improved hand hygiene;
– проведення дезінфекційних заходів;
– поводження з медичними відходами.

Description of the event structure:

10 год. 40 хв. лекції
3 год. 30 хв. практична робота
50 хв. підведення підсумків та оцінювання знань

The total amount of study load: 15 астрономічних годин / 20 академічних годин.

Forms of organising and holding the event: Implementation of the planned programme, use of active learning methods, involvement of participants in discussions and practical exercises, evaluation of the results achieved (testing, surveys).

Methods of organising and conducting the event: Lectures and presentations, discussions and debates, practical exercises, skills training, demonstrations and examples.

Logistical support for the educational event:

Multimedia equipment and flip charts are used to demonstrate presentations.
The following equipment is used for the practical part:
- different types of ultraviolet bactericidal irradiators and UV radiometer, protective goggles;
- laboratory ventilation system, thermoanemometer, vanemometer, smoke generator, laser rangefinder;
- UV lamp and fluorescent solutions for assessing hand hygiene;
- a set of high-quality fit test and respirators;
- personal protective equipment kits for all employees, including medical gloves, a surgical mask, goggles, and a gown that protects against infectious agents.

Forms of final control: Solving 24 test tasks that cover the entire scope of the event material with one correct answer. To successfully pass the control assessment and receive the relevant certificate, the trainee physician must correctly answer at least 70% of the test tasks.
